The Department of Quality Assurance in the Dijlah University College, and in cooperation and coordination with (the Quality Assurance Department in the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Authority of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research) and (the Ministerial Team for e-learning), organized the virtual scientific symposium entitled (e-learning in computer science departments between evaluation and rectification for a sober transition to hybrid learning). A number of department heads in Iraqi universities participated in the symposium.

The aim was to present the experiences of computer science departments in Iraqi universities in the field of implementing the electronic education project, and ways to advance this project and exchange experiences among the attendees.

The lecturers presented realistic and direct diagnoses for evaluating the project,

and presenting proposals that would enhance the application of hybrid learning.

The symposium included several lectures presented by the Coordinator of the Ministerial Team (Asst. Prof. Dr. Omar Al-Amir), Head of the Computer Science Department at the University of Baghdad (Prof. Dr. Nasser Hussein Salman), Head of the Computer Science Department at Basra University (Asst. Prof. Imad Shaalan Jabr), Head of the Computer Science Department at Tikrit University (Prof. Harith Abdullah), and instructor Wissam Dawood, and head of the computer science department at the Dijlah University College (Prof. Dr. Mazen Samir Ali). The seminar sessions and inquiries was directed by (Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Jaafari), Director of the Quality Assurance Department in the Supervision and scientific evaluation in the Ministry of Higher Education. The Dean of the Dijlah University College (Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Saeed) participated in the discussions and presented his suggestions. Finally, the first draft of the recommendations of the symposium was read by Asst. (Prof. Dr. Hamza Daoud).
